It is quite interesting to note that the mistake some persons who are against EDO state Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki are making is thinking that those hanging around the corridors of power for personal pecuniary benefit constitute the people of Edo.
Taking a cue from the obedient movement that used Peter Obi as a vehicle to enter into the Edo State political firmament they made a Major inroad with one Senator and two House of Representative members without these so called heavy weight guys that are often overrated
Like Mandela said, “the problem of the West is to think that the enemies of the West should be the enemies of South Africa. In the same vein, these guys think that since Obaseki is their enemy, then Obaseki is the enemy of the people.
Unfortunately, their grouse with Obaseki doesn’t translate automatically into the grouse of the Edo people. What the Edo people want is a decent government that pays workers salaries as at when due and provides the basic necessities of life like road, water, electricity, et al for them and EDO people no doubt are happy that governor Obaseki is doing well barely seven and half years in office.
But since some people, especially from the opposing political camp refuse to see anything good in the transformation going on in the state, it would be advisable for them to compare the Obaseki led administration and that of Oshiomhole led administration or like someone said, maybe it would be necessary to just write a brief treatise of how Gov. Obaseki underdeveloped Edo State if that will satisfy them.
But that will not change the fact that Obaseki is not an enemy of the people because he is a visionary leader with great plans to Make EDO Great Again
Obaseki has laid the foundation tor another progressive and visionary leader like Asue Ighodalo to build on.
