Mr Abba Yusuf, the Kano State governor-elect, has on Wednesday 29th March, received his certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Yusuf was tendered his certificate of return in the early hours of Wednesday at the commission’s headquarters in Kano State.
The governor-elect contested the state governorship seat under the platform of New Nigerian Peoples Party, (NNPP) and defeated his leading contender, Nasiru Gawuna.
Yusuf polled 1,019,602 votes to emerge first and defeated his major rival, Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 890,705 votes.
