It was praises and prayers galore for Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki by some Edo indigenes resident outside the state when they attended a ceremony at Sabongida-Ora, Owan West Local Government Area, recently.
They were all thrilled with the nylon tarred Sabongida-Ora road Which made travelling to their home town now a pleasurable Journey.
The relatives and friends of the family of the Late Emmanuel Ozemevboyare Aizebioje- Coker who travelled in a convoy of six vehicles to Uhonmora, Ora, all showered encomiums on the Governor for the quality road network.
In their various comments, they were filled with excitements over the construction of the road which has reduced the stress of traveling.
They prayed for the Governor and urged his critics to go and see the fantastic work he has done with tax payers money, for the benefit of the people
In the words of Manix Coker, a London based Edo son, who led other relatives and friends to the 33 remembrance celebration of their father, the Sobe-Sabongida road which was a very bad road has now been transformed to a nylon tarred road with a forward base of the Military to protect travelers.
In the same vein, others echoed that the Governor has done very well for the people with such a project without politicizing it.
They are very happy that the state government decided to embark on such projects across the state instead of sharing the money amongst some politicians.
“We know that the crime Gov. Obaseki has committed is nothing more than his refusal to share government money amongst the politicians,” they noted.
They also urged critics of the Governor to go across the state to see for themselves what the people are benefiting from the Obaseki government, like the tarred Ekpoma -Ogwa road and others.
