The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, has arrested 149 suspected criminals who were entering the state in trucks from other parts of the country. The suspects were apprehended at black spots in three local government areas of the state. The state Commander of the corps stated that the suspects claimed to be hunters but were found to have concealed weapons, bags of Indian hemp, and cutlasses in their vehicles. The suspects have been profiled and are being questioned.
The commander expressed concern over the hidden weapons and questioned why the suspects would come from distant parts of the country to hunt in Ondo State without proper registration. He urged people to consult with relevant agencies or traditional rulers before engaging in any legitimate business in the state. The government will no longer tolerate people without a mission entering the forest areas of the state.
