Sir Emmanuel Ijewere, a distinguished individual from Ubiaja in Edo state, held esteemed positions including past president of ICAN, past president of the IOD, past president of the International Red Cross Society, and a 4th degree Knight of St. Mulumba in the Catholic Church. Beyond his accomplishments, he was known for his unwavering commitment to the Catholic faith, his role as a loving husband and father, and his exceptional humanitarian efforts.
Dr. (Mrs) Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor spoke highly of Sir Emmanuel Ijewere, highlighting his multifaceted nature. As a fellow Ubiaja native, he served as a father figure and mentor to her, offering invaluable guidance and support. His unique sense of humor provided solace during challenging times, and his constant belief in her ability to achieve greatness and positively impact the lives of the masses continues to inspire her. Dr. Ogboro-Okor emphasized that Sir Ijewere’s legacy extends beyond the passage of time, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
The funeral proceedings took place from January 29th to February 1st and 2nd. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Sir Emmanuel Ijewere’s family, friends, and associates, wishing them strength in coping with this irreparable loss. Edo State bids farewell to a remarkable son.
