Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023, paid a courtesy visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in his home town, Daura.
During his visit, the president-elect, having received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), presented it to Muhammad Buhari.
This was confirmed in a report released by The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). According to NAN, Tinubu was accompanied by his Vice-elect, Kashim Shettima and Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Present at the visit were APC State Governors including Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai; Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu; Ebonyi, Dave Umahi; Zamfara, Bello Matawalle; Niger, Abubakar Sani-Bello; Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Ogun, Dapo Abiodun, Jigawa, Badaru Abubakar and Plateau, Simon Lalong.
Tinubu used the visit as an opportunity to express gratitude to President Muhammad Buhari for supporting his presidential ambition.
