The eleventh season of MasterChef Italia was won by Tracy Eboigbodin, a 28-year-old Veronese woman of Nigerian descent. After spending her childhood in Nigeria, Eboigbodin and her family emigrated to Italy, where she now resides. “The hug is the essential emblem of the unity between two different elements, distance ones, sometimes remote,” she stated. My journey on MasterChef has taught me to welcome the unfamiliar, embrace my environment without bias, and incorporate those elements into my cooking. With these four dishes, I hoped to convey how much this meant to me. She took home a hundred thousand euro prize in gold tokens and the opportunity to write a cookbook.
