Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has voiced confidence over the establishment of a new Nigeria. He pointed out that Nigeria’s past main political parties have been more of a source of suffering than of comfort for the nation.

On Wednesday, when Obi’s presidential campaign council came in Gombe State to canvass for votes, he made his remarks and mentioned that the Labour Party is where the answer can be found.

According to one of our correspondents, Obi met with the women of Gombe at the International Hotel Conference Hall earlier in the day. During this meeting, he reportedly asked for their support and emphasised that they should use their Permanent Voter Cards to bring about the change that is needed in the country.

He reminded the attendees that, as women of the nation, they had an important role to play not only by getting involved in politics themselves but also by encouraging their children to cast informed votes in the election of 2023.

He stated, “The election in 2023 is an election that will start a new Nigeria that her citizens will begin to trust and have confidence in.” He went on to say that the task of building a new country like Nigeria requires both physical and mental energy, and he emphasised the importance of both types of energy.

“We want to construct a new Nigeria,” he said, adding, “You voted for the umbrella, which leaked and left you suffering; you voted for the broom, which swept you into poverty.” “We want to build a new Nigeria,” he continued. “We want to build a new Nigeria.”

“The moment has come to cast your vote for human people so that a new Nigeria may be created. Now is the time to cast your vote for mom, dad, and the kids.
