Rihanna, the talented singer, songwriter, and fashion icon, has been making a name for herself in Hollywood with her impressive acting skills. While she may have initially gained fame for her music and fashion sense, the Barbadian beauty has proven that she can hold her own on the big screen. Here is a look at her acting career so far:

Battleship (2012) – Rihanna’s first major acting role was in the sci-fi movie Battleship. In the film, she played Petty Officer Cora Raikes, a weapons specialist who helps save the world from an alien invasion. The film may not have been a critical success, but Rihanna’s performance was praised by many.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) – In director Luc Besson’s sci-fi epic, Rihanna played Bubble, a shapeshifting alien who helps the film’s heroes on their quest to save the universe. While her screen time was relatively brief, she stole the show with her electric performance.

Ocean’s 8 (2018) – Rihanna’s most high-profile acting role to date was in Ocean’s 8, the female-centric spinoff of the Ocean’s Eleven series. In the film, she played Nine Ball, a computer hacker and member of the titular heist team. Once again, she received praise for her performance and helped make the film a box office success.

Guava Island (2019) – Rihanna co-starred alongside Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) in this musical drama. The film, which premiered at Coachella, tells the story of a musician (Glover) who is determined to throw a music festival on a tropical island, despite the opposition of the island’s ruler (played by Rihanna).

Upcoming projects – Rihanna has several projects in various stages of development, including a biopic about legendary Jamaican singer Bob Marley, in which she will reportedly play his wife, and a new film directed by Peter Berg called “Marian,” in which she will play the role of a warrior who returns home after years of fighting in a foreign war.

Overall, Rihanna has proven that she is a versatile actor, able to bring depth and charisma to a variety of roles. While her music career is still going strong, it’s clear that she has a promising future in Hollywood as well.
