The attack, which occurred recently, saw individuals purportedly affiliated with the Yoruba Nation movement storming the secretariat. The Nigerian Army reported that the assailants were dressed in foreign military attire and armed with dangerous weapons. Subsequently, nine individuals were apprehended, and weapons were confiscated.

 

Meanwhile, Bode George, a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), condemned the invasion of the Oyo State House of Assembly by Yoruba Nation agitators, categorizing it as an act of treason. Speaking on Arise Television, George emphasized that resorting to arms against the government is unacceptable and constitutes a grave breach of the law.

 

George expressed disbelief at the audacity of the agitators, questioning their motives and suggesting a lack of education as a contributing factor to their actions.
