More than twenty businesses operating in Benin City have been wired up to the 95MW Ossiomo Power Plant. This plant is part of the power generation and distribution company that was birthed as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Edo State Government and Ossiomo Power Company.
Since the power plant began operating, Edo State has continued to see an influx of private enterprises. Many of these businesses have chosen to take advantage of the electricity advantage in order to expand their operations and increase their levels of production.
Benin Enterprise Park receives its power from the 95-megawatt Ossiomo Power Plant, which is situated near Ologbo in the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area. In addition, it provides electricity to a variety of government structures and businesses, such as hospitals, the complex of secretariat buildings, and the Government House.
