Merit chapel: New Executives Sworn-In

As part of the rebuilding feats put in place by Festus Alenkhe’s administration of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, new executives of the Merit Chapel have been sworn in.

The swearing-in ceremony held at the Union’s Secretariat on Monday brings to an end the three years tenure of Comrade Valentine Osunbor who alongside his executives held office since 2019.

Speaking at the Inaugural ceremony, the Chairman, Comrade Festus Alenkhe urged the new executives of the Merit Chapel to operate in line with the Union’s constitutional guidelines while calling for a united body that will achieve a better Chapel.

Shortly after the ceremony, the newly Sworn Chairman of the Merit Chapel, Comrade Eben Enasco commended the efforts of the Union’s Leadership and the eleco in Conducting a hitch-free election.

Comrade Eben vowed to operate an inclusive government in the discharge of his duty.

Other executives that were sworn in
include, Comrade Innocent okoh, as Vice-chairman, Paul Okojie as Secretary, Joyce Odiase Alohan as Assistant Secretary, joy Nwokoye as treasurer, and Ebude wisdom as financial secretary.

The tenure of the new executives is expected to end in 2025.
