Induction of six permanent secretaries by Buhari

Six new permanent secretaries were sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday in Abuja before the start of the Federal Executive Council’s (FEC) weekly meeting.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Mr Buhari gave his approval for the permanent secretaries’ appointment in March.

On March 29, Folashade Yemi-Esan, the Federation’s head of service, said that the president had given his permission to appoint the six permanent secretaries who had made it through her office’s selection procedure.

The occasion was the conclusion of weeks of pre-qualification examinations for directors, carried out by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, said Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, while reading the citation of the new permanent secretaries.

They are: Richard Pheelangwah (Taraba), Adamu Lamuwa (Gombe), Yakubu Kofarmata (Kano), Olufemi Oloruntola (Ogun), Mahmud Kambari (Borno), Esuabana Nko-Asanye (Cross River), and Yakubu Kofarmata.
