In Ogun, a man is remanded in jail after being beaten and pulling a woman’s dreadlocks.

A man, Oluwaseun Adebayo, was on Wednesday remanded at the Sagamu Restorative Place for supposedly beating and pulling off the dreadlocks of one Esther Odusanya, at Awosanya road, inverse Iyaloja house, Ajaka, Sagamu.

Adebayo was summoned before a Senior Judge, Omolara Osanyin, of a Sagamu Justice’s Court on a three-count verging on attack and hurting.

supposedly beat Esther with clench hand brushes and pulled off her dreadlocks, inflicting damage and distress to the person in question.

The charge against the litigant peruses, “That you, Adebayo Oluwaseun, on the multi day of August 2023, at around 7:00am at Awosanya road, inverse Iyaloja house, Ajaka, Sagamu in the Sagamu Authoritative locale did unlawfully attacked one, Odusanya Olaoluwa Esther by beating her over her face and over her head inflicting any kind of damage and consequently perpetrated an offense culpable under area 355 of the lawbreaker code of Ogun province of Nigeria 2006.

“That you, Adebayo Oluwaseun, on the same date, time, and location in the aforementioned magistrate’s district did unlawfully and inherently assault one Odusanya Olaoluwa Esther by beating her with fist blows all over her body, and thereby committed an offense punishable under Section 360 of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun state of Nigeria, 2006,” reads the statement.

“That you, Adebayo Oluwaseun, on the same date, time, and place in the aforementioned magistrate district did unlawfully wound and by similar act assault one Odusanya Olaoluwa Esther by pulling off her dreadlocks hair from her head, causing her bodily discomfort, thereby committee an offence punishable under Section 338 of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun state of Nigeria, 2006,” reads the statement. “That you, AdebayIn Ogun, a man is remanded in jail after being beaten and pulling a woman's dreadlocks.
