Edo Muslim Community commends Obaseki’s devt’ strides, celebrates impact in health, economy, sports, others

The Muslim community in Edo State has commended Governor Godwin Obaseki for his administration’s developmental strides across various sectors of the State, hailing the impact of the governor’s reforms and programmes in education, health, security, agriculture, economy, technology, infrastructure and sports, among others.

Chief Imam of Benin Central Mosque, Alhaji Fatai Enabulele, while speaking to journalists in Benin City, said the governor deserves accolades for his deft style and approach to governance which has improved the lives of millions of Edo people and put the State on the path of progress and prosperity.

Expressing appreciation to the governor for his numerous projects across the State, Enabulele assured that the Muslim community will continue to support and partner with the governor to ensure he finishes well and strong, and guarantee the sustainability of the government’s laudable programmes and reforms over the past seven and half years.

He said, “Governor Obaseki has in the past seven and half years initiated and continuously pursued transformational programmes and projects that have put the Edo State on the path of progress and development.

“In the economy, the governor has made doing businesses in Edo State very easy with his government’s ease of doing business reforms. He has improved the security situation in the State and brought various reforms into the State including the civil service reforms. He introduced the health insurance policy to support the people, ensuring they get the best of healthcare services.

“In sports, his performance is great and laudable. Even the former Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare and sports icon, Segun Odegbami commended his efforts in revolutionizing sports in the State. In infrastructural development, the Secretariat and High Court buildings are a testament to the governor’s performance. We applaud his achievements and celebrate his impact over these past seven and half years. We are proud to have him as our governor.”
