The Edo State Government will be hosting the State’s female football team, Edo Queens to a heroic reception after their excellent outing at the NWFL Super Six Playoffs, emerging champions of the league and securing a ticket to represent the country at CAF Women Champions League for the first time.
The team will be arriving in Benin City, the Edo State capital, today Thursday, May 30, 2024, and will receive a rousing welcome amid pump and pageantry, in celebration of their remarkable achievement.
In a statement, the Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, said a victory road show has been planned for the triumphant team.
