Cerberus subtype coyote disease is spreading rapidly in Italy, where it has been steadily increasing in prevalence. The percentage of people who have heard of it in our country is 64.1% (up from 30.7% in the previous survey on November 8), based on the total number of BA.5 champions. According to a recent study, the Omicron strain of SARS-CoV-2 has reached a prevalence of one hundred per cent, which is consistent with the results of a flash survey conducted by the Institute of Advanced Health Sciences on December 13.

According to a study conducted by Iss in collaboration with regional laboratories and the Bruno Kessler Foundation last December 13, the prevalence of the Omicron variant in Italy was estimated to be one hundred per cent, with the BA.5 subtype being particularly common and the proportion of Omicron/Omicron recombinants standing at 3%.

According to SkyTg24’s reporting, a total of all Regioni/PPAA laboratories and the Military Health Laboratory participated in the investigation, for a grand total of 1,500+ champions. These are the estimated frequencies: Variant Omicron is 100%, BA.2 is 6.2% (0-12.8%), BA.4 is 0.3% (0-14.3%), and BA.5 is 90.6% (77.3%-100%). 3.0 O.M.U. (from 0.0 to 10.6 O.M.U.). Research indicates that BA.5 continues to be very prevalent, with a national prevalence of 90.6% (compared to 91.5% in the last survey, conducted on November 8th, 2022) and regional frequencies/PPAA above 77.3%. The number of BA.5 circulating in our country has been relatively constant at 100 (down from 112 in the last investigation).
