Brighton recovers from, an almost, two-goal loss to Marseille, thanks to Joao Pedro penalty

Brighton succeeded at delivering a complete comeback from what almost became a two-goal win for Olympique de Marseille to remain in the Europa Football League. During the game, Marseille’s Chancel Mbemba and Jordan Veretout scored the two goals that kept Marseille in the lead for the first 20 minutes in the game. Had the match continued in that momentum, Brighton would have completely lost and it would have been a follow-up on the straight defeat they suffered at the hands of Aston Villa on Saturday, last week.

During the course of the game, Brighton only seemed to be on the defensive – it appeared they had nothing else up their sleeve, except the courage to hold on till the match was completely over. However, during the 56th minute of the game, Pascal Gross changed the score line to 2-1, which caused the pressure in the game to increase. And shortly after it seemed that the game was at its end, Joao Pedro scored a penalty which then brought the final score of the game to a draw.
