Alaghodaro 2022: Reforms in the electricity sector and investment opportunities

The Edo State administration has begun making preparations for an even more exciting 2022 Alaghodaro Economic Summit after a well praised successful event in 2021 during which Governor Godwin Obaseki revealed a 30-year development plan and eight centers for the transformation of the state’s economy.

With the successful holding of the Alaghodaro Investment Dinner in Lagos, preparations for Alaghodaro 2022 have already begun. Following the dinner, major investors will congregate in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, for the 2022 Alaghodaro Economic Summit, including Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa and chairman of the Dangote Group; Tony Elumelu, chairman of Heirs Holdings; and Aderemi Makanjuola, chairman of Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc.

The 2022 Alaghodaro Summit will be held from Friday, November 11, to Sunday, November 13, 2022, according to the special adviser to the governor of Edo State on media projects. The summit’s subject will be “Edo’s Transformation: Partnerships, Resilience, Impacts.”

Osagie claims that the event will begin on Friday at 9am at the New Festival Hall in Government House, Benin City, with the Edo Summit. At 6pm on the same day, a State Banquet will take place at the Edo Hotel Marquee.

A stage play called “Hear Word” will be performed at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, following a golf tournament at the Benin Golf Course at 7 a.m.
