Yesterday some group of Muslim male students in Sokoto reportedly beats a 200-level female student of Home Economics at Shehu Shagari College to death and set her body ablaze for allegedly blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad.
The student simply recognized as Deborah Yakubu, reportedly shared the harsh message in a school Whatsapp group.
According to a source who wants to remain anonymous said the said message brought the wrath of students, who overpowered school security, whip her to death, and set the body ablaze.

The source said: “she was having an argument with some of her schoolmates over their ongoing examination and when she was asked how she managed to pass her exams, she said it was Jesus.
“She was asked to withdraw the statement and apologize, which she refused.

“The school security intervened, took her to their post, but they were overpowered by students after which she was killed in the process.

“After killing her, her remains were set ablaze and burnt beyond recognition in the school premises,” the source told.
