Made-in-Edo products are highlighted during Alaghodaro 2022 as businesses and exhibitors compete for space

The Alaghodaro Investment Summit this year will highlight and share with the rest of the world the creativity and productivity of entrepreneurs and businesses in the state by displaying, marketing, and selling Made-in-Edo products at the summit, according to Mrs. Ifueko Alufohai, Executive Secretary to Alaghodaro Company Limited by Guarantee (GTE) and Permanent Secretary, Edo State Ministry of Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs.

The Alaghodaro 2022 is slated to take place in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, between Friday, November 11, and Sunday, November 13, 2022. Alufohai said this when speaking to journalists about the state’s preparations.

“Edo’s transformation: partnerships, resilience, impact” is the summit’s topic for its 2022 iteration, which will enlist private investors and business leaders to support this goal,

the government’s initiatives to make Edo State the most welcoming sub-national in Nigeria for investments.

While expressing the state’s readiness to welcome investors and business leaders from around the world, Alufohai, who is also the Focal Person of the Edo State Sustainable Development Goals Office (SDGs), noted that international and local firms, among others, are vying for exhibition space at this year’s Alaghodaro Investment Summit.

“More firms have continued to vie for spaces for exhibition at the upcoming Alaghodaro 2022, which is a sign of trust in Governor Godwin Obaseki’s economic turnaround of Edo State. It further demonstrates how the summit has had a significant impact on firms and the general business climate over the past six years, which needs to be continued,”

The annual Alaghodaro Summit, in her words, “offers businesses an opportunity to network, meet one another, and leverage on the benefits that the platform offers. We have put the essential measures in place to improve upon last year’s summit. For further improvement, we are prepared to learn from each year’s edition.

Among the dignitaries she listed as attending the summit were Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group, Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Dr. Aderemi Makanjuola, Chairman of Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc, Dr. Atedo Peterside, Founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Tayo Amusan, Founder of Persianas Nigeria Limited, and Dr. Rasheed Sarumi, Managing

Alaghodaro Summit’s display takes place typically a stage marquee that displays the different companies and Made-in-Edo goods ,The Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO), the Edo Geographical Information System (EDOGIS), and the Edo State Ministry of Physical Planning, Housing, Urban and Regional Development are some examples of pertinent Ministries Department and Agencies (MDAs) of the government that also take part in the exhibition.

Several financial organizations, including Bank of Industry and Sterling Bank, among others, will take part in full. At the summit, which has continued to garner attention on a global scale, they are all expected to demonstrate the services they provide to businesses and investors.
